Goldman Sachs Leads $15 Million Series B Round in Coin Metrics
Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) has invested in
Coin Metrics – a crypto-asset data and risk analysis firm. The $15 million Series B was led by Goldman along with the participation of previous investors Castle Island Ventures, Highland Capital Partners, Fidelity Investments, Avon Ventures, Communitas Capital, and Collab+Currency. New investors include Acrew Ventures, Morningside Group, BlockFi, and Warburg Serres Investments.
According to Coin Metrics,
Mathew McDermott, Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, who is leading the blockchain and crypto charge at the bank, will join Coin Metrics’ Board of Directors.
McDermott commented on the funding round:

The
REA Insights Buy or Rent Report found that despite recent price growth, market conditions remain in favour of buyers, with around 57 per cent of dwellings across Australia being cheaper to buy than rent over the next decade, based on an annual price growth of 3 per cent.
The Northern Territory recorded the highest proportion of dwellings that are cheaper to buy at 99.1 per cent, followed by Queensland at 89.2 per cent, Tasmania at 85 per cent, Western Australia at 81 per cent and South Australia at 79.8 per cent.

Brett Scott was just happy to be at Warrnambool. Winning the Galleywood Hurdle with The Statesman was a massive bonus.
Scott was an induced coma in The Alfred nine weeks ago. He’d suffered serious head injuries after a horse kicked him at his Mornington stable but had made a remarkable recovery to be in the crowd at Warrnambool on Tuesday.

Mr Andrews suffered broken ribs and spinal damage after falling on wet stairs while staying at a holiday home on the Mornington Peninsula on March 9.
He was released from hospital on March 15, about a week after he fell.
At the time of the fall, the premier issued a statement revealing the seriousness of his injuries after he was admitted to intensive care. A CT scan has revealed several broken ribs and vertebrae damage, and subsequent medical advice has recommended I remain in intensive care for the next few days, he said in the statement.
